Our New Wood Combustion Model

Regulation standards are becoming stricter and more demanding, customers have increasingly individualised wishes – even for wood combustion applications. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand the complexity of the whole process.

We have therefore developed a new combustion model for wood combustion which can be used in many applications. This allows to better understand the behaviour of existing applications on one hand and on the other hand to develop new applications very efficiently.

The example below shows the combustion in a fireplace:

The model includes the following processes:

·       Evaporation of water

·       Pyrolysis of wood

·       Gas combustion of pyrolysis gas

·       Oxidation of coal
