Combustion, emissions and temperature distribution in a waste incineration plant

In the combustion system, the interaction between combustion and flow was investigated and the "hot spots" identified. In addition, the temperature distribution and various parameter settings were tested to reduce the experimental effort. In addition, many measures were successfully investigated to reduce emissions. The picture shows the temperature distribution. The flame was colored red.

Combustion was modeled using a simplified reaction mechanism. In addition, NOx emissions were calculated, implementing a SNRC mechanism.
